Information always publically available: your profile information
PSN Online ID: when you register a Master or Sub Account, you may choose a PSN Online ID. When you use PSN, your PSN Online ID is your public nickname and may be visible to all SEN users. Other users, such as people whom you meet or play online, can use your PSN Online ID to send you messages or chat. If you accept other users as your “Friends” in SEN, they can see what you are doing within SEN at any time. Your PSN Online ID, “About Me” statement, avatar pictures, country / area of residence, preferred language and gaming scores and statistics may be displayed in SEN or on our or third party game related websites.
Name: When you create a SEN account or sign in to an account on PlayStation®4, you have the choice between displaying your name or your PSN online ID. If you chose to display your name, this information will be available in the same way as we describe above. You can choose which “Friends” can see your name but they will be able to share it with others, for example by sharing gameplay video that you feature in (see below).
Profile picture: when you set up an SEN account on PlayStation®4, you can link a profile picture with your SEN account, in which case, this will be publically available.
Other images: if your device has a camera you may be able to upload or stream images of yourself and others.
Some devices allow users to record, stream and upload online activities such as gameplay and therefore may be distributed outside SEN without your knowledge, which means that you and we have no control over it.
Avoid sharing contact information on SEN.

You are responsible for any content you post on the SEN, and this content will be accessible to others.
PlayStation®4 has some specific features:
“Share” button: you or the user you are playing with online can live stream your gameplay, or upload gameplay video and screen shots to third party websites or the public through the “share” button on your device system. Your personal information (including your PSN Online ID, name and profile picture), text and voice chat may be captured and uploaded to the Internet.
Your activity feed: you can choose to share information about your SEN account activity such as your purchases, trophies earned and content accessed, or uploaded. This information is visible to SEN users through activity feeds.

We recommend you consider carefully whom you share your information with.
On some devices, such as PlayStation®3 systems and PlayStation®4 systems, users may access a “What's New” section that provides topical information about SEN and third party services as well as serves advertisements. Account holders who are logged into their accounts when they access “What's New” will have advertisements delivered to them in that section based on their location. We will collect information from account holders who are logged into their account when they access “What's New”, including Online ID, country, date of birth/age and language, for the purpose of performing research and statistical analysis. We share this information with certain Sony group companies and third parties who assist in delivering these advertisements and support the “What's New” service, solely for the purpose of performing business research and statistical analysis, except that Online IDs shall be hashed before they are shared with third parties, to ensure that they cannot be linked to a particular account holder, and date of birth will not be shared with third parties.
If a user does not have a SEN account or is not logged into that account when accessing “What's New,” that user will be asked to provide a country of residence, preferred language and date of birth/age. This information will be stored locally on the device and, if the user is eligible to receive advertising, will be shared, with Sony group companies and third parties who assist in delivering advertisements and supporting the “What's New” service, solely for the purpose of performing business research and statistical analysis, except date of birth will not be shared with third parties.
If you access the “What's New” section, we will log information from your device to calculate the number of unique and repeat views of advertisements. Logged data may include Online ID (for SEN account holders), length of time an advertisement was visible, size of the advertisement and other information related to each advertisement visible. Logged data or some portion of it will be shared with Sony group companies and third parties who assist in delivering these advertisements and support the “What's New” service solely for the purpose of conducting business research and statistical analysis, except that Online IDs shall be hashed before they are shared with third parties, to ensure that they cannot be linked to a particular account holder.
Monitoring of Communications
We reserve the right to monitor and record your online activity and communication on SEN and to remove any content from SEN at our sole discretion. We may appoint other companies to do this for us. However, we cannot monitor the entirety of SEN and we make no commitment to do so.

These include setting up processes to minimise unauthorised access to or disclosure of your information. However, we do not guarantee that we will eliminate all risk of misuse of your personal information by intruders.
If you have set your “Auto Sign-In” setting to populate automatically your password and Sign-in ID, please make sure you change the setting back before you let anyone else use your SEN account or give your PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable), PlayStation®Vita, personal computer or other hardware devices to anyone else, including for product warranty and maintenance services.
