1. PSN ACCOUNT REGISTRATION AND CHILDREN
You must create a PSN account to participate in PSN. All the information you give us during PSN account registration must be truthful and accurate. We may refuse a request for registration at our discretion. You will not be charged for creating a PSN account but you may be charged for online content or services that you choose to access through PSN.
You must keep your password secret and other account details secret (other than your Online ID), and not share them with anyone else, to prevent unauthorised use of your PSN account and not share them with anyone else. If you share account details with someone who uses your account in breach of these Conditions or we believe that your account has been compromised, your account and/or access to PSN may be suspended or terminated. We are not liable for any unauthorised use or sharing of your PSN account.
There are two types of PSN accounts: Master Accounts and Sub Accounts. You must be 18 years or older to create and hold a Master Account. Sub Accounts are for children from ages 7 to 17. Each Master Account holder can create up to six (6) associated Sub Accounts for children aged 7 to 17 if they are their parent or legal guardian. Depending on the age of the child and local laws, you may need to enter a unique number provided in a separate email to complete registration of your child's Sub Account. There is a limit on the total number of accounts which can be created on a system, depending upon the type of system, and on the number of systems which can be activated in relation to a single account at any one time – see your system manual for more information.
The Master Account holder is responsible for all activity on its Sub Accounts, including all purchases and online conduct of the Sub Account holder. The Master Account holder must ensure that all Sub Account holders understand these Conditions, and any changes to these Conditions, and know what they can and cannot do through PSN. Deletion or suspension of a Master Account will automatically result in the deletion or suspension of all associated Sub Accounts.
The Master Account has access to information about the Sub Account's activity on PSN, including all transactions and communications. Correspondence from us about a Sub Account's purchases on PSN will also be sent to the associated Master Account holder.
Your Online ID, and any Online ID you create for a child, will be publicly available to all PSN users. Your child may receive communications from other PSN users, which will not be copied to you. Some PSN content and services may contain explicit language or content and not be appropriate for children under a certain age. Children may not be able to access content, services or play games via PSN rated higher than their registered age; however, not all content and services are rated. Once content is downloaded, it may be accessed by children who are under the rated age. It is your responsibility to supervise your child's access to or use of PSN, content downloaded from PSN and any communications sent or received by your child through PSN and to check any content ratings or descriptions where available. Please see www.eu.playstation.com/terms for more information about parental control tools for your PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system and PSN.

3. CONTENT AND SERVICES ON PSN
Some content and services which we provide through PSN or the PlayStation®Store may have specific additional conditions ("Additional Conditions"), for example, specific rules for certain games and usage rights for content. Please read these carefully as these Additional Conditions will also form part of your contract with us and may change from time to time. In the event of any conflict between these Conditions and the Additional Conditions, the Conditions will prevail. These Conditions and Additional Conditions apply in addition and without prejudice to any terms and conditions relating to any disc-based product used in conjunction with PSN.
While using or logged into PSN, you may access other content or services provided by third party companies for which we are not responsible, such as online services for game titles published by third parties. Your access to third party content and services may be subject to third party terms and conditions which you should read and understand before you access those services and any complaints about those services should be made to the third party provider. All content and services purchased through the PlayStation®Store, including in-game stores which are part of the PlayStation®Store, are sold to you by us, including where you access the PlayStation®Store via a third party game or website.
4. WALLET
From some countries, you can buy content and services from the PlayStation®Store and its associated in-game stores by using funds from a PSN online wallet. You can buy funds for your PSN wallet using payment methods or PlayStation®Network Card as approved by us from time to time in your country. We will notify you of the minimum amount which can be added in any one transaction and the maximum amount which can be held in your PSN wallet. You can check the funds in your PSN wallet at any time by going to the PSN Account Management area. If you do not have sufficient wallet funds to complete a purchase and your payment method is registered with us, we will use your registered payment method to automatically fund your wallet with the minimum amount required to complete your purchase (or the minimum transaction amount, if greater).
Wallet funds have no value outside PSN and are not redeemable for cash. Wallet funds can only be used to access content or services from us. PSN wallet funds are not your personal property and cannot be transferred to any other person. Please understand that the PSN wallet is not a bank account and we are not operating as a bank. You will not be entitled to a refund for any unused funds, except where expressly provided by these Conditions or by applicable law.
Only Master Accounts can have a PSN wallet. The Master Account can allow the Sub Account to use funds out of the Master Account wallet up to a maximum spending limit set by the Master Account. Any spending limit set by the Master Account holder is effective from the beginning of the following month.
Wallet funds must be used within 24 months of purchase.
5. PURCHASES
When you choose to fund your PSN wallet or select content or services which you want to buy using your PSN wallet, you place an order with us. We reserve the right to reject your order for any reason. If we accept your order by sending you email confirmation of your order, a contract is formed between you and us on the terms set out in these Conditions. If we reject your order, any sums deducted from your PSN wallet will be refunded.
By placing an order through your Master Account (or allowing an order to be placed through your Sub Accounts), you (i) agree to pay for all orders placed by the Master Account and associated Sub Accounts; (ii) authorise us to deduct the price of any content or services from your PSN wallet; and (iii) agree that these Conditions and any relevant Additional Conditions will apply to that purchase.
You expressly agree that we may make PSN wallet funds, content and services available to you immediately after we have accepted your order. As a result, you will have no right to cancel or to a "cooling off period" for your purchase of PSN wallet funds, content or services. Your purchase of PSN wallet funds is complete as soon as we make those funds available to you.
All purchases are made in the currency displayed in the relevant pricing information. Prices, content, promotions and services are subject to change or withdrawal at any time. No refund is payable if prices are reduced after purchase. Special prices or promotions are no longer valid once changed on or removed from PSN.
Prices shown are inclusive of all applicable indirect taxes. This does not include import VAT and duties. Please note that, in some circumstances, no indirect taxes will apply. Where indirect taxes do not apply, no indirect taxes will be charged. Where indirect taxes do apply, the prices shown will be inclusive of indirect taxes.
You can place orders with us only if you are resident in certain countries and your order may be rejected if information indicates you are not a resident of one of these countries. Your country of residence and other card details may be verified by us sending a request to your card issuer for a minimum transaction. This verification transaction will expire automatically but may appear temporarily on your card statement before expiry.
We will send an email confirmation for each transaction to the last email address you have provided to us. All email confirmations for Sub Account transactions will be sent to the Sub Account and the associated Master Account. You can view the transaction history for your account and any associated Sub Accounts in the PSN Account Management area.
After sending confirmation, content or services will be made available to you through your PSN account. You are solely responsible for the download, storage and safekeeping of your content. We do not guarantee to provide you with replacement copies if your content is lost or damaged due to file corruption, hard drive crash or for any other reason and any facility which we provide for re-download for certain content may be withdrawn at our discretion.
We will try to ensure that prices, ratings and product descriptions shown on PSN are accurate but errors may occur. We will try to correct any errors as soon as these come to our attention. If we discover an error in the price of items you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible. You will have the option of either reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, your order will be cancelled and the purchase price refunded to your wallet. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all liability to you for errors made in product descriptions.
6. PROMOTION CODES AND PLAYSTATION®NETWORK CARD
From time to time, we may issue special promotion codes which can be used to access PSN content or services. Separate terms and conditions apply to promotion codes which are available at http://eu.playstation.com/legal. Promotion codes may be offered by us, by one of our affiliated companies or as part of a third party promotion. If part of a third party promotion, they will also be subject to the promoter's specific terms and conditions.
In some countries, you can purchase PlayStation®Network Card or vouchers to fund your PSN wallet. Purchase and use of prepaid cards is subject to the restrictions set out on the cards or vouchers and the Terms and Conditions for PlayStation®Network Card available at http://eu.playstation.com/legal.

Both the Access Period and the Viewing Period will be specified when you rent the applicable Video Content. Be sure to read all such terms carefully before completing or confirming any rental. The Access Period is a limited number of days (no less than 14) from the date of your rental. If you have not started playback during the Access Period, then you will no longer be able to view the Rental Content. The Viewing Period starts to run from the time you first playback the Rental Content and will be at least 24 hours long.
- If you first download standard definition Rental Content to your PlayStation®3 system, you can transfer the Rental Content one time only during the Access Period, to a PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system. Following this transfer, the Rental Content will no longer be available on the original PlayStation®3 system and you will not be able to transfer it to any other of your Authorised Devices.
- If you first download standard definition Rental Content to your PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, you may view it on only that PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system during the Access Period and may not transfer it to any other Authorised Device.

The subscription charge (or, if greater, the minimum amount) will be added to your PSN wallet. The subscription charge will then be removed from your wallet and any excess funds will remain in your wallet for future purchases.
Subscription charges may be increased at the end of each Subscription Period. If charges are increased, you will be informed and asked to confirm whether you want the subscription to continue.
